Following its third 2023 quarterly meeting of its Board of Directors, the Greywolf Foundation has made charitable contributions to six charitable endeavors, including three new organizations. Since its inception in 2021, the Greywolf Foundation has given over $185,000 to assist more than 70 different local charitable organizations and efforts.

A recent grant was given to the Monona Grove Educational Foundation to support its Weekend Snack Pack program. The Greywolf Foundation also provided lunch for the participants at the Sun Prairie Police Youth Academy in late August. A recent donation was also made to the Overture Center’s Audio Description and Tactile Tours program, which provides specific, behind-the-scenes access to patrons with disabilities to help them enjoy performances at the theater, located in Madison, Wisconsin.

The Greywolf Foundation continued its support of the work that Girls on the Run of South Central Wisconsin accomplishes to mentor girls and young women in our local communities. Additionally, the Greywolf Foundation again was a sponsor of the Sunshine Gala benefiting the Sunshine Place in Sun Prairie, Wisconsin, and made a gift to support teacher/classroom needs at a school in the Milwaukee area through the Adopt a Classroom organization.

The Board of Directors will next meet to review the final round of applications for support for this calendar year in late November. Applications for support can be completed and submitted on the organization’s website on the Apply for Support page.

Every year, the Greywolf Foundation collaborates with Park Vista Senior Housing Management (PVSHM) on the Oppose Alzheimer’s Initiative to raise awareness of the challenges related with Alzheimer’s disease and associated dementia, while also raising funds for the treatment, care and research opportunities which are combating this disease. As part of this partnership, in September and October, both the Greywolf Foundation and PVSHM serve as sponsors for several Walk to End Alzheimer’s throughout Wisconsin.

Upcoming Walk to End Alzheimer’s include Dane County (Madison) at Warner Park on Sunday morning, October 1st which partners with our Noel Manor, Legacy at Noel Manor and The Legacy of DeForest Park Vista facilities. On Sunday morning, October 8th, the Fox Cities (Appleton) where we partner with Park Vista Waupaca and Park Vista the Legacy.

Finally, the Greywolf Foundation hosted the 3rd Annual Curtis W. Blackdeer Memorial Golf Outing, on Thursday, August 31, in Cottage Grove, Wisconsin. This day included sun-kissed golf at The Oaks Golf Course, a fabulous Dinner Celebration with great food, drinks, and live entertainment at BB Jack’s Cottage Grove, as well as an online auction.
