Cottage Grove, Wis. – December 5, 2022 – Through its partnership with Park Vista Senior Housing Management (PVSHM), the Greywolf Foundation (GWF) proudly donated over $24,000 this year as part of the Oppose Alzheimer’s Initiative. The goal of this effort is to raise awareness of the challenges related with this disease and associated dementia as well as to raise funds for the treatment, care and research opportunities which are combating Alzheimer’s disease.

The Oppose Alzheimer’s Initiative is a collaborative effort between the two organizations that raised funds and support through a variety of sources and activities in 2022, including:

  • The GWF and PVSHM combining to be a Wisconsin Statewide Sponsor for the Walk To End Alzheimer’s. This sponsorship supported walks held during September and October in the communities of Waukesha County, Stevens Point, Washington County, Milwaukee County, Kenosha/Racine, Rock County, Fox Cities and Dane County.

  • PVSHM staff forming eight teams that featured 61 participants and raised money from 96 gifts made in support of the various Walks To End Alzheimer’s.

  • The Alzheimer’s Association Wisconsin Chapter being the beneficiary of BB Jack’s Cottage Grove’s Pizza with a Purpose program for the month of August 2022.

  • Staff, residents, family and friends from five different PVSHM facilities raising money and awareness of the Oppose Alzheimer’s Initiative though various activities throughout the year. These participating facilities included Tennyson Retirement Living (Madison, WI), Noel Manor (Verona, WI), Legacy of Deforest (Deforest, WI), Park Vista Retirement Living (Waupaca, WI), and Park Vista Retirement Living (Camanche, IA).
